Healing Ancestral Wounds

Loving Presence for the Stories That Live Within Us

A four-day residential retreat grounded in Hakomi and present-moment experience.

AN INVITATION

What Have We Inherited from Those Who Came Before Us?

Not only our physical traits.

But also ways of protecting ourselves, ways of relating, suffering, and resources that have been passed down through generations.

Healing Ancestral Wounds invites us to explore our connection with something far greater than our individual life story: the suffering and the wisdom we have inherited from our ancestors.

Even if we never knew them, they are part of us. They live on in our bodies, in our relationships, in our strengths, and also in those difficulties that sometimes seem hard to fully understand.

Family and cultural patterns can be transmitted from one generation to the next.

During these four days, we will explore Loving Presence towards our ancestors and reconnect with the resources, wisdom, love, and kindness that have also been passed on to us through them.

Research in the fields of trauma and epigenetics is beginning to reveal how certain experiences may leave traces that extend across generations. Hakomi offers an experiential way of approaching these questions through present-moment awareness, exploring not only ancestral wounds but also the potential for healing that lives within us.

THE FACILITATORS

With Caroline Braham and Bettina Deuster

Caroline Braham

From an early age, Caroline felt a deep curiosity about people: what moves us, how we become who we are, and how our personal history is expressed through the body.

Her path led her to explore a range of approaches to bodywork, movement and mindfulness, including Hellerwork, Feldenkrais and Hakomi. Over the years, she has developed a way of working that integrates the body, mindful awareness and relationship, supporting people in discovering new possibilities for experience and transformation.

Today, Caroline is a Hakomi therapist, trainer and certified teacher. She is also a member of the international Hakomi faculty, teaching and training practitioners in different countries.

Bettina Deuster

Discovering body-oriented psychotherapy had a profound impact on Bettina’s life. A deeply transformative experience awakened in her the desire to understand the human experience more fully and to accompany others in their own processes of growth and change.

Her professional path includes decades of experience as a psychotherapist and body-oriented therapist, together with extensive training in a variety of approaches to personal development and consciousness. In Hakomi, she found a practice that deeply integrated everything she had learned and experienced throughout her journey.

Today, Bettina is a Hakomi therapist, trainer and certification teacher. For more than twenty-five years, she has been sharing this work internationally, offering a way of accompanying others that is grounded in presence, respect and trust in each person’s inherent wisdom.
